Anything “magic” is what the wife buys me for Christmas, and cleaning products for the cupboard of course (why so much cleaning products?).
Anyway, “magic” = sh1t in my experience....

got some and use them a fair bit , as well as cobra and twin grip

whats not obvious is theyre geared for some immense gripping power unlike a standard pair of hinged pliers , the cobra ones are so strong you can hang off them if you grip a bar

That's their real advantage, they squeeze with the same force at the tip as normal pliers only achieve right down near the hinge.

Iv got a set and as said before they are fiddly to set

I have a set of CK ones and they are fantastic

You can set them with one hand really easily

Got one or two pairs...

I've actually bought another pair of the 180mm to have in my "go bag" for running out to small jobs.
I find them very handy, not just for turning fasteners but also bending tabs and generally manipulating things.

I still carry an adjustable and some proper spanners, as while they can be made to work in a pinch, they aren't a replacement IMO.
I tend to use them if I have something I don't want to mar the finish on, otherwise the cobras work well too.
