I don't want to flood this thread with samey looking pics of my half arsed lap joint welds, but I thought I'd post up another as I have just changed my setup, following on from the words of wisdom I've had recently.
So I swapped out the standard WP17 torch for a Kennedy one with a flexi head off Zoro....

It's loads lighter easier to move about, and not only has this helped with my torch angle and position but also stopped me wasting argon with accidental button pressing.
I've also fitted a CK short gas saver kit, with a #6 cup. I have a pyrex one too but haven't used that yet. I got a few CK lanthanated (blue) 2.4mm tungstens too. So here's the first go with the new setup. Still running at 7lpm on the peashooter and more of a 45 degree angle at the corner join.
I hope this looks like an improvement as it felt like it was. The start and ends are still a bit wonky but there was a point in the middle where I felt in control for the first time.
