I had a chat with Ali at Boost Energy Systems, If I use a 12KW Rotary phase converter with a 15HP motor its going to pull around 70amps on startup for a few seconds. Not a lot left out of a 100 amp supply if her indoors is doing the washing, cooking etc. Another way around it might be to have a seperate 100amp single phase supply installed but at the moment I feel keeping things down to 10HP is the easiest option.
