yeah I mean along, so to drive along. if I had the room for storage then id do similar to the car forecourt rams where you drive up and they self level.

The original website http://www.restorationramps.co.uk/ that i saw it on a few years ago when i was first thinking of these seems to be defunkt now sadly. However, http://www.cjautos.eu/ also have a lot of different methods of lifting so perhaps that will give you some more ideas.

I have seen the ones your referring to there a god idea iv seen them.done with 2 jacks but a linking bar and farm jack would do the job so on as you can get access.

This might sound like a mad idea but what about making the see-saw ones in a modular way? In other words, make each side out of 2 or 3 sections that you can simply bolt together. That would reduce the space you'd need for storing them when not being used but still give you the result you want?
