laser level recommendation

I bought a Lecia Rugby self levelling laser and receiver about five years ago, lasts for ages on one charge and has a range of more than I have ever needed. Only thing that plays havoc with it is a heavy downpour, it must scatter the signal.

I know the OP is looking for a proper outside laser level but I bought a cheap HUEPAR like DAPPH mentions. I think I paid £39 ish. Just for anyone who has never tried one of these things, they are a bit of a revelation for using indoors at least. I used it for recent kitchen stuff, units and coving but absolutely worth the money. I will use mine for shelving, blinds and anything else that needs a nice horizontal/vertical line while you are working without having to draw one. Mine does eat two AA batteries every four hours or so but I will use rechargeables form now on.

So am I the only one to find the dot from my laser level, bought from Makro years ago for a laser tracking experiment, while useful for building stuff, is excellent for tormenting the cat that lives in the house the other side of the road, 60 yds away when its sitting in the window, looking in . . . red dot appears on the far side of their living room window . . . cat takes off and reappears leaping up their wall . . .

I've still got my very first four inch long red dot level & themini tripod that came with it , it's about 25 yrs old .
I've used it to line up mounting brackets down a 20 mtr shed . found 2 x 19 mm .. nuts 12 foot apart and the beam give a smidgeon of light on the top of each nut. handy for setting up the greenhouse footing pegs and 25 mtrs of guttering brackets and also set th line pegs for all my fencing panels & H section concrete posts.

I have two Bosch green levels. One is self levelling, sits on a camera tripod, the other is like a spirit level and projects a beam. Both were low cost, £30-£50, reliable, and save me tons of time.

The cheap unbranded stuff is very hit or miss, fails randomly, or isn't accurate. I just wish Bosch also did a low cost digital inclinometer so that I can align my drive train.

Would a £5 cheap plastic digital saw mitre gauge / inclinometer or " measuring tool digital protractor @£22 " help ?
The other way is a straight edge , a steel rule ,a spirit level and a bit of trig

went for the green Dewalt AA battery version

the higher bosch/dewalt models or any Fluke/Leica etc just a bit OTT for what it'll be used for...there's some really expensive laser levels!
