Might not seem like it (!) but you’re in the right place. This spat will blow over and there are plenty here who will be able to help. Pictures are key so as soon as you are able, get some pics of the problem up and I guarantee, you will find the information you need.
Shares and I like the pretty colours of both.
Seriously, personally I've had roofs covered using both, always been happy with the results and longevity, in any case my reply wasn't recommendations just considerations.
I thought it best before someone else suggested straw and mud or stretch a tarp.

They boost the UK economy by keeping many cowboy builders in work who get paid to do the same job several times. The same people also "repair" the pot holes in our roads.
Seriously though, nothing wrong with a flat roof if done right.

They were always good bags them..lasted a long time carrying mucksome had ici printed on them fertilizer bags
When I bought my bungalow the flat roof over the utility room and garage was leaking when there was heavy rain, after getting some astronomical quotes from local roofing companies I put box profile sheets over the existing roof at a less than 1° fall and 15 years later its still leak free.
