I imported the plans into Inkscape and traced over them to produce some cad files. I then used these to get some ply templates laser cut for the sides - to avoid silly routing mistakes on the expensive oak. To be honest these weren't as accurate as they could have been, I should have paid more attention to the lengths and angles rather than just tracing out the line drawings, but was still a good starting point.
