Different one for each type of valve but you probably dont need one.

DE PRESSURISE THE KEG FIRST.

Most common ones with just unscrew (normal anti clockwise) or have a internal circlip then just pull out.
Some have a knocked in tab lock and thread and some have a circlip and a thread.

I use a vacuum pump and vacuum chamber for resin castings, I also made a vacuum chuck system for the lathe which works really well.

If you had loads of the same type to do for any reason it might be worth getting a proper keg connector as that might make a good starting point for components for a removal tool...

Back in late February @Mick Annick posted this in the "Stuff....." thread which caught my eye at the time as I was thinking of making something similar for my weed sprayer.

There you go. I run it of a 6v battery, however it is designed primarily for 12v systems. Running this at 12v would mean to much pressure for my Hardi sprayer Lance. 6v is just right, and it has more than enough power to pump it through 6m of hose to the Lance.

I think I did that some time ago and discovered the first three I did all had different fittings! So I gave up on removing the valve and decided to butcher them.

Keg connector sounds interesting I might Google that and see if I can take them off for reuse. Chances are though I'd probably want to use a regular BSP fitting or somesuch.

Out of curiosity, how long does the battery last before it needs a recharge?

Ideally I'd like to be able to run the pump off the socket for my trailer lights, but that is 12 volt. Does anyone know of a good quality inline voltage reducer?

I ran 3 fulls of the tank through it and it had plenty of charge left. It really depends on the draw by the pump and the Amp Hour rating of your battery. Of which I would not be an expert in
