In that case, is it possible to get hold of a particular valve release tool or at least a copy of the design?

Thanks guys, I read the forums during the day but can't log-in whilst at work to reply unfortunately.
I just spotted this - https://www.mig-welding.co.uk/forum/threads/stuff-you-have-made-today.67127/page-478#post-1532334 - on the "Stuff you have made today" which was posted yesterday by @3000alloy !!!

Back in late February @Mick Annick posted this in the "Stuff....." thread which caught my eye at the time as I was thinking of making something similar for my weed sprayer.

Yea, google image search
"valve spear removal tool"
Different one for each type of valve but you probably dont need one.
DE PRESSURISE THE KEG FIRST.
Most common ones with just unscrew (normal anti clockwise) or have a internal circlip then just pull out.
Some have a knocked in tab lock and thread and some have a circlip and a thread.
If you had loads of the same type to do for any reason it might be worth getting a proper keg connector as that might make a good starting point for components for a removal tool...
