Give the joints a squirt of expanding foam, it trims up nicely when it's gone off and any bits that stick to the outer faces can be wire brushed off, Sandtex sticks to it too so on mine it blended in well.
How thick a coat does that Sandtex type paint tend to give. Is it fairly thick stuff once applied? What's it like regarding peeling after a few years? Could well be another addition to my list of things to do.
It goes on like thick gritty emulsion, my panels are rough cast so I had to work it on with a brush, it fills small voids and cracks and as yet I have no sign of peeling( it's been on a year ). The water beads up and runs off instead of soaking in.
ive got a shed like this and looking to insulate it out the internal dimensions are 8ft x 10ft
the door is easterly facing the rear west facing north wall is this side
im looking at changing it to a workshop area as close to livable as possible as i intend to install a pellet burner in there
inside pic
at moment ive used foil bubble insulation
im now looking at finishing this off but was considering using breathable felt 3x2s for wall struts, 100mm insulation and osb board 9mm just for the interior wall only because i have those materials to hand at moment
you guys got any suggestions or any better ideas could use 65mm kingspan or 75mm but not so sure on those being used for the wall insulation
when I did mine I lined the walls with 25mm kingspan then put 25x50 slate lat battens over, fastened to the thick part of the concrete panel (depth stop on the drill comes in handy!) more 25mm kingspan between battens then breather membrane over then 12mm ply. Not sure how warm it was s it was for a customer and I was down the road once done but that's generally how things are retro fitted with insulation.
