Looking for a new printer

To get a web interface, you need an octoprint set-up on a raspberry pi (or PC connected by USB). It's fairly easy to set up (especially if you use a pi zero, but it's worth getting the Pi Zero 2 W if you do as it's a LOT more powerful than the earlier version). Raspberry pi's are cheap and it's a nice addtion.

I used a standard Raspberry Pi instead of the pi zero, but either works the same. If you've got a connected octoprint raspberry pi thing (on the network), when you slice in PrusaSlicer there are two buttons in the bottom right. If you click "Export G-code", it saves it to disk and you can stick it on an SD card, put the SD card in the printer and press the control button (the printer automatically selects the newest file as soon as put the SD card in). If you click the G> icon, it gives you the option of either uploading to the printer or uploading to the printer & starting the print.

What happens to the G-code, do you have the option to save as well?

If you want to save it, press "Export G-Code" - that saves it to disk. If you press G> it uploads it to the printer without saving it locally, but nothing stops you from hitting "Export G-Code" as well and saving it locally (or for that matter, downloading it from octoprint later).
