I'm at a real loss as to what else it could be. Pinhole in the hose from the back of machine to the torch is all it could be.
Same here I've the garage pulled apart trying different things it looks like it's purely a gas problem/contamination of some sort

Yellow is the colour code for 110, blue is the colour code for 230v. The plugs/sockets have the pins located in a different orientation so you can’t accidentally plug a 230 into a 110 or vice versa but putting 110v onto a yellow lead and socket could lead to a nasty problem if a 110 tool was plugged in by mistake. Not something I’d want plastered up on the net.

Do you have any stainless steel?
Perhaps run some fusion beads on stainless steel at fairly low amps. If your able to get some nice bright silver/yellow colours then it would suggest there isn’t a problem with the set up.
If you can only get blues and blacks then would point to some sort of gas issue.

Thankyou for you're input on the cable jim this is not a health and safety controlled site it is a garage there is no one else there to accidently plug 110v in if the cable was black would it make a difference? It is a 3core 2.5mm flex cable that has a 13amp plug on the end that then goes to a 16 amp trip, it is quite safe the colour means nothing
I was only able to get blue /purple on my last stainless job

Yes but was you purposely trying for gold/yellow? A lot in regard to colour on stainless steel is down to heat input. If you can run a few beads without wire on a low current and it’s really clean then it’s a decent indication that you don’t have any leaks.

I would try a spot test first.
-Take a bit of stainless,thick enough to not penetrate towards the backside.
-Clean it with acetone or some other good degreaser. then dry with a lint free cloth.
-Set the postflow to 10 seconds or even a bit longer.
-Set the machine to 50-70 amps or so
-Tungsten clean, and prop the cup so that you have about a 80 degree torch angle and a small tungsten to workpiece clearance, you could have to change the stickout a bit.
-Start an arc on the stainless, and make a puddle 3-7mm in size
-Terminate the arc but do not remove the torch, keep it in place.
-The resulting spot should be colourless.
If any other colour then something is a miss.
It's like the above test by Matt, but takes away the welder (and his/her technique) as a variable

I assumed you had tried different rods.
Sorry been meaning to update this I have a box of bad rods, never heard of it before part of the problem was I mixed some in with the good ones which explains why every now and then I was getting bad welds, I Brought some into work same results, I haven't thrown the box out yet, I also need to go through my other stuff, and root them out these where tested out on some scrap in work on a Chinese welder fist pic is 5356 esab second 4043 esab and 3rd 4043 sif, I originally blamed gas as I've had a couple of dodgy bottles, then didn't know what else it could be as I had tried rods from a different box 
No bud I even wiped them with a scotch brite then used acetone I can post a video if anyone wants to see it, I've used rods much older with a lot more dirt on them

Aye strange, I've never even bothered cleaning rods and never had a noticable issue unless the material itself was dirty.
