In the clutch kit the pressure plate and the clutch plate are stamped in the metal LUK. The bearing is not stamped. I assume LUK don't make the bearings.Fitted a few, they are good.
My local supplier now stocks Borg and Becks.
For the simple reason they can buy then in cheaper.
Last one I brought I had to pay a deposit on it. This was refunded when the old unit was returned.
Does this box look genuine?LUK and sachs are OE for a lot of manufacturers. They're the only brands I'll fit to VAG vehicles. Just watch out for knock off LUK kits, the online market is full of them, the box they come in is a big give away, the genuine ones come in a really good quality heavy duty box, the knock offs come in a crappy box that'll fall apart if you're not careful lifting it.
Yeah that looks legit. I wouldn't be concerned about the INA release bearing. INA is a respected manufacturer of bearings in the auto trade
I have bought a LuK DM flywheel as well. Car is 16 years old. I've owned it just over 10 years.Might be the flywheel too which needs resurfacing
I only do less than 3k miles per year.I think the car will have rusted away before any more clutch type jobs need doing. It would take me over 10 years to clock another 30k miles up.@mart Is it a dual-mass flywheel? They usually reckon they're good for 2 x pressure plates then need changing.
Chasing around for a clutch kit for a Ford Focus Estate Mk1 at the moment. LUK quoted at £147 Exedy £1100! Now that's an eye opener.luk are poo! my wifes LUK lasted 8K miles in the L200
