I have one, some car fan switches use 22x1.5mm.

Fan sender boss for a cosworth. Sorted rad that doesn’t work so I’m changing the orientation of the pipework.

I got asked a few times about adding a fan switch boss to my rad tubes, I even single pointed
a fitting for someones tubes.
Then I scored two brand new guhring machine taps on ebay, obviously not been asked since;-)

I think I flogged one of the taps to someone who posted a similar question to yours.

Machine tap would be great for making these on the lathe I just took it easy by hand with the centre pushed in the back and an adjustable.
