I have seen one drain the oil out of tractor A to top tractor B up as they both needed oil. And were not due to be serviced yet. So didn't want to buy new oil.Generally I have found that farmers are the worse thing to happen to machinery since rust was invented

true but then i have seen a engine eat 5 high pressure fuel pumps in a row. tipping drums back into the bowser is a big no no, esp when one of them is actualy roundup, that stuff is good at killing plants but even better at killing fuel pumps

A mate of mine had a couple of cars, a rather nice Riley and an old banger. When he changed the oil in the Riley he put the oil he took out in the banger, from where it ended up in the atmosphere.
