They claim that lathe is 1930's. No way I reckon thats turn of the century, lathes were modern pattern by the late teens
It's a fantastic place. One of them places I wouldn't get board of visiting.I popped in yesterday but as it was late didnt have time to go inside but had a look round the outside for the first time, what an amazing place! I am planning on going to the next open day with steam for sure! (considered going to day but had other things on)
Yes it's a nice place. The couple of pots of tea I had was nice to. An unusual machine i noticed was the three bank camel back drill. Never seen one.I thought my daughters would be bored but they loved it. £42 for a sandwich and drink for us hurt though! Dont mind as its all fundraising

No markings but the workmanship is beautifulIs the lathe outside a Dean Smith and Grace?
