Got the bonnet opened and found a 4 air horn set up directly wired to the standard horn wires explains the blown fuse,

Got a pair of OEM MB horns, if you need some?

I'll have to test the horn, it's still in place just not connected.. Won't stop raining

Tad bit addictive these old mercs other than the temp sensor not running the fan, the 190e has been very reliable, I think I've already put about 4k miles on it,fair few long runs.

The 230s getting chaved up, not looked into it yet but a turbo would be nice. Drunkly won with a bid I didn't think would win, who ends an auction at 8am on a Sunday..

See a few old lexus's around here too, the big ones from the 90's/00's. Very Merc like in their shape, probably better built ? An uncle of mine had a 190e, it used to be strange, when started it didn't know if it wanted to run or not for a few minutes. I believe its a dry solder joint on a black box in the boot area.

Probably dry joint in the ovp relay under the bonnet by the abs ecu. Common fault
