While I plod along with my MGB GT I need to do some repairs to my Midget
I have owned it for a couple of years now slowly doing a few jobs but keeping it on the road.
I have recently acquired a 1.8 litre Turbo K series engine and a Type 9 gear box with Caterham toughed input shaft and gear ratios to fit into the midget. It will also have brake and suspension upgrades etc
But for now de-bumpering and sorting out previous owner bodges need to be sorted out
So a few pics of what we are starting from.
I have ordered sills, floor panel, inner wing panels etc.
You will see from the photos how useless/dangerous the previous repairs were. In particular the sill is not joined to the inner wing panel it is just cut away. the back of the sill is the same under the car
Just goes to show in the wrong hands a welder and angle grinder is a dangerous thing
