When TV production companies make documentaries they always include some jeopardy to keep the viewer hooked and anticipating disaster. It's always included because it plays to human psychology and our need for threats to produce adrenaline and endorphins, which makes the documentary more watchable/popular.I like some of the projects Millyard gets into,just wish he did shorthand versions, some of these vids can be a bit of a yawnathon. Still better than watching an ingenious Jingly welding together a broken gearbox main shaft sat in the street and wearing nothing more than a bed sheet with flipflops. Strange how that gets more views than someone like Millyard

one I watch doing stationary engines is like that, you know somethings going to happen, it's just when.
I try to avoid watching stuff like that for the same reason I avoid 'Reality TV', impotent rage is very bad for the blood pressure.I call it "car crash tv"
Luckily I watch youtube on my own as I'd get some funny looks shouting at the screen.

Much as I cannot stand the ********* I can't help thinking he has got it right playing to the lCD and making a few bob.To do that I suppose one has to be totally delusional or prepared to swallow ones pride . He's not for the serious motorcyclists by any means. To me he is the TV version of the Motorcycle Mechanics magazine in the 60 when we read it for the laughs and mistakes.

Perfectly sums up YouTube and the wider self promotion issue for me. There are many skilled/talented people about, there are also a good number of people who are good at presenting and public speaking, but the overlap of those two groups is tiny. Which unfortunately results in a lot of dull, near unwatchable, dross put out by knowledgeable people.
As bad as highly hyped and attention grabbing junk put out by complete numpties. Very rarely do the twain meet.
A similar situation to self employment for those people who are very skilled in their trade, but couldn't run a business if their lives depended on it.

His narration leaves a lot to be desired, it sounds like he is talking to little children.
