not sureI thought the friction ring had a higher torque rating

The High Output versions of M12 and M18 batteries use 21700 Li-Ion cells, rather than the familiar smaller 18650 ones. The extra few mm of these 21mm diam x 70mm long cells increases their volume by 47%, which provides a higher Ah rating, but also delivers more Watts. On a slightly separate but related topic. Has anyone used the High Output battery?
Using an adaptor or extension reduces the "effectiveness" of the impact.thin id rather the 1/2" I dont have any 3/4 sockets and an adaptor takes up valuable space sometimes
yes I now hence my reluctance to purchase the 3/4" driveUsing an adaptor or extension reduces the "effectiveness" of the impact.
I rented one for work a while backI’d buy the 3/4 anyday. But that’s for what I do. You’ll be fine on 4x4s with the 1/2 I’d think.
I have a friction ring () but wanted the pin. It’s a pain in the hoop but if you’re not changing sockets every ten seconds it’s handier than having them come off. My dewalt was a pin.
Milwaukee costs more with a pin somhad to settle for a hog ring.
The 12AH really shines over the non genuine ones I normally use- not sure about a genuine 5ah. Using the 3/4 with a UJ to reach some tricky shackle bolts- no go with a 6ah Waitely battery, slap the 12ah genuine in there and she's away (just!) You also need the high output geniune batteries when running the bigger M18 grinders (I have the 150mm)- they'll trigger overload in the smaller batteries.I have that High Torque and it’s never failed me. Spins hub nuts off the old Shogun with ease.
On a slightly separate but related topic. Has anyone used the High Output batterie? I use the big torque gun with either a 5 or 9Ah battery and whilst I notice the difference with the bigger battery the 5 still does everything. The 12v stubby I use most and wonder in if the new M12 5Ah High Output would give it a bit more umpf over a 6ah
I still have my first gen 1/2, but now use it at home so it is officially retired, even still have one of the original 4ah batteries, gun and battery well over 10 yrs old.Don't the latest generation of high torque 1/2 and 3/4" impacts have an issue with snapping anvils?
I've got the first gen high torque 1/2" and it's indestructible. Seen quite a few reports of the latest iteration of it not lasting at all. One customer in the states bought one from Home Depot, broke it first time he tried to use it on some wheel nuts. Went back into Home Depot and they didn't believe him. They pulled 7 units from the shelf and proceeded to snap all of them in the car park.
