i thought it was the trigger but nooo it was fooked
Now he's not the best at fixing things so it must have been relatively easy this is what he's just sent
Inside the trigger the grounds have a little bit of black **** over them, you just need to give it a little sand to make them clean again
Sounds like contacts have just gone grubby

funny enough they where at screwfix when i was there on day i had a quick play for the money they dont seam that bad but they do feel plasticy but the guy was confident in the way they work and said they been round years

oh dont get me wrong im sticking to dewalt and makita i have meny tools of themwell they will do
but if the otherhalf dad needs a new drill there cheap and for the small time i had a play would certain do for the diyer for simple jobs round the house

yep all my stuffs dewalt and realy does get hammered and abused at work every day. most diy stuff will last for years with occasional light use

Milwaukee is well known as running tools to a higher limit, big motors but the rest is lower quality than other brands in the same segment. They are less reliable imo and trustpilot seems to bear that out. Makita and Bosch stand out as the most repairable and generally more reliable anyway.

Most of my kit is Bosch and I've had very little trouble with them over the years, used at work I've got a little 12v drill driver that's got to be 10 years old along with the old style 10.8v batteries it came with, all still working except the trigger is a bit hit and miss after it got soaked and I can't really blame it for that!
I've been waiting for it to fail so I have the excuse to buy a new one but it won't

i chucked a coffee over my impact driver yesterday luck i was at work and the air compresser was close give it a good clean out and its going for the moment will now just have to wait and see
