Yeah i read about it years ago when my mate started collecting bulldozers , sad it was new used and they made the worlds biggest grader too

Italian and in the 80s must have been better metal than my BILs Fiat Strada as that came factory fitted with rust !

Yeah I love those Detroit 2 strokes I really fancy putting one in my 80s chevy pickup

My friend has had loads of kit powered by them best was a Peterbilt with a 8v92 supercharged and turbo charged that sounded sweet

Euclid cant beat the ACCO though it had twin 675hp caterpillars that must have sounded awesome

Modified a digger tooth wont be replaceable but should last a while for the uses I have for it

They used Euclid’s local to my parents years ago, dad used to take me down to watch them working. Could hear them howling from miles away and they ended up having a curfew imposed

Yeah I'd have to drive it past Neigbours house everytime i used it I dont think it would make me popular ! just cant decide to keep original (v8 turbo diesel) , 6BT it or put something daft into it .

Yeah 6BT tempting as same power but cant beat the sound of twin pipe V8 turbo only 210hp but plenty of torque

My friend loved those TS3s he had loads of them in his yard we had to scrap them when he moved real shame but he does have a 1973 4x4 IH Travelall with one in it and that sounds lovely

you have to rev the nuts off them in each gear sounds harsh but engine cokes up if you dont

Yup, i have a few of them.
As the supercharger is gear driven, when you lug them, the supercharger naturally slows down too. So you get behind the curve rather quickly on them.

I am impressed with how this has turned out. I was going to make one for a machine a few years ago but got offered a second hand ripper, just had to fit a new tooth and change the head stock to match my machine. I think it came with 3 new teeth at the time but it is still on the original one so as you said it will last a while.

Thanks , it kind of evolved as many things do as you make them.I just had this bit of thick plate with almost a ripper shaped bit sticking out and just thought id pull the trigger and make a start. There are so many different shapes when you google it but for a small machine i need to have a curved back to roll on when im levering stuff up

Made some progress this weekend and actually finished something I started !




should be testing on some tree stumps this week so will report back but i tried to make it as strong as I could with what I had avaliable

Hopefully you haven’t exhausted all your stock, as you need to build a grab/grapple or possibly a rake/riddle bucket next.
