any suggestions other than giving up 3D printing.
You've got seven bodies in that file:
Body 1 of the top level component , Body 1 of component 1 and Body 2 of component 2 are all the top half of your part - three of them overlaid.
Body 3 of the top level component, Body 2 of component 1 and Body 1 of component 2 are all the bottom half of your part - again, all three overlaid.
There doesn't seem to be a timeline in the drop box file when I import it, so it's difficult to unravel (maybe because you started with a .step file?)
*I* would delete component 1, component 2 and Body 2 of the top level component to simplify things. (All on the menu if you right click the items in the tree on the left).
Looking at what's left, you can see that there is a gap between the top and bottom bodies. They're also slightly misaligned:
(This is typical of the sort of thing you run into trying to chop things up.)
The easiest way out of this that I can think of is to do a 'point to point' move of one of the bodies, choosing the centre of the cut face on that body as the origin of the move and the centre of the cut face on the other body as the destination of the move (You could have used this operation to close up the gap after cutting the slice out which would have avoided this issue).
That leaves you with two bodies, in contact with each other and centred to each other. You can then use the 'Combine' command to turn them into one body.
This is after I've 'de-cluttered' by removing the unnecessary(?) components.
(You know when people back up there^^^ suggested just drawing what you want in F360? It is often quicker in the long run.)
