Right now no, short term rentals don't seem to exist and even long term houses are extremely difficult to find round here. Worst case will have to put everything into storage and stay at my sisters.

Later on Friday afternoon I updated the Ferry house estate agent that I had now completed a contract for sale on my house, that would be positive news for the sellers as cash is king.
Saturday we went back to look at the house again, and have a chat with the owner. It went along the lines of, I'm here to close a deal on this house with you today, he said "I accept your offer, how quickly can you move", RESULT! It turns out he has already bought another place and is moving this Friday, I said as soon as the solicitors can sort it out, 10th August preferably or whenever the contacts can be signed.
I will update my solicitor tomorrow morning and ask how long it will take to complete the purchase, unfortunately I am sure he will say longer than 9 days but fingers crossed.
Also got a chance to get a bit more veg out of the plot before leaving,

They were the worst two days of my life!
That's a brilliant result, well done!
I remember when we were buying in the 00's, was all 'offers over' and sealed bids. Lost out on sooo many, was gutting (and expensive!) at the time, but ended up with exactly what we wanted eventually. Looking back on it, I can be glad now about the ones that fell though, but oh so stressful at the time..

Where I used to work years ago, the boss sent me out to chase an unpaid bill. Well we moved out of the old house on Monday (all belongings went into storage) and the sale was completed on Tuesday, that was a massive relief. Luckily we found a short term let in Edinburgh at the last minute so are moved in there now and yesterday we agreed on an entry date of 20th August for our new house in Broughty Ferry, so just over a week to go. Fingers crossed it will all go ok.

Got the keys last Friday and moved in with two camping chairs and a blow up air bed. It felt great to finally move in. Our belongings turned up at 9 on Monday morning. All present and correct! Slowly getting unpacked and will get the Merc back from storage tomorrow.
