I’m always frustrated that I wasnt earning good money about 20 years ago when these cars were relatively cheap to buy. They cost a bomb these days so even on a decent wage I cant afford one!

The brother-in-law had a Dodge Charger, it had the tri power carb set up and a silly diff for the strip. He soon tired of the ridiculous rpm at normal motorway speeds and dumped it on me to do a diff change, in a childish moment I spanked it around the block. What a waste of time that was, stamp on the throttle and they just light up the rear wheels making very little forward progress. A big heavy engine sat over the front wheels with a back axle on cart springs on standard road wheels/tyres is not a good road combo. Fit big fat slicks and that all changes

I never went silly gears on the road, I Think 3.23 was stock and I put 3.91 gears in it.
My Sierra had 5.12s.
