You would need a clamp-on amp meter, The motor looks like an old brook crompton, I think they were called super silent or something similar, 2HP at the most is my guess if its the original that is. have you had a good look for a rating plate on the side it?.
well,had it going today,,,builds up pressure and holds but then slow pressure drops,could be a air leak somewhere,pressure valve works til pressure drops then fills tank up again,you can here it freewheel when pressure valve works,,,,overall,,,,,MINT
im thinking of fitting a 25litre tank then remove under tank it has at moment

it was on ebay,but no one bought it(no bids)you must of been looking at another compressor,seller is a mate and i didnt know he was selling it
update---after sorting it out,,i started to do few jobs with it for mates of mine and one of my mate bought it of me,,,well happy,,,easy resto to do to bring it back form the dead`ish
