Mine has code 723069 which dates it as week 23 of 1977, from Republic of Ireland.
I meant to add this shot of the metal foot with the cover off -

Right, wiggled the other one out & it has the plastic clips & handles, and steel wishbones. It used to have the plastic foot covers but they dropped off years ago...

The citric has gotten rid of all the old rust and paint on the legs. Plan to dig out the MIG over the weekend and try and remake the feet ends before painting:

Fingers crossed when I come to do the frame the results are as good.

It's a funny old world! I made contact with @Windy Miller and it turns out we have mutual acquaintances. I used to work with his neighbour etc.

What I could really do with is something to hold the legs whilst I weld and dress the feet...

I scored 4 cans of blue acrylic! Got chucked because the buyer didn't realise you have to take out the little safety ring under the nozzle.

Not sure if I'll have enough for the whole Workmate though...

Next to make a citric acid "pond" to submerge the complete, collapsed frame in! Thinking some Celcon blocks, dpm and a ratchet strap around the outside.
