Pardon my ignorance but is that basically a vfr400?
VFR were four cylinder, but there were probably some parts swapping done, wheels etc.

Yes, chain driven. I seem to recall the Revere was a very popular choice for couriers back then?
The 400 is the little brother of the Bros 650, which I believe is the same engine as the 650 Revere. I am guessing the 600 Revere is the same engine again but short of a few cc. I am not aware of any Bros 600 though.
I really need to learn to read all of the words in a post and not just the ones i choose to see,I had a 650 bros.They do i've had one ! and like you say they are basically a NTV650 engine.
I heard the complete opposite about britten, including an interview with a once friend of his that if you of no use to him, he'd drop you.
?Do you have any links or have they all been deleted by the Britten Corporation?
Being a driven man, I would quite understand that attitude. I would be a bit disappointed though.
Had he fitted different forks to give twin discs ? I read of CBR forks being used but never needed more brake power than the single side and twice as many pads costs twice as much. My Revere would do 220 miles to a tank no problem if you rode legally.My mate has a couple - a 400 and a 600. He's fitted a vfr tank to one to give his 200 miles range and I made him an adapter to mount 6 pot calipers on the front.
No he kept the single disc but fitted different fork bottoms for more damping control.
A mate had a bros a few years ago, mad Pete.
He used to do track days and slaughter much larger bikes, making up in the turns what the engine didn't give on the straights.
