What name does this type of pipe wrench go by?

( watched someone dismantling LARGE gland nuts on a hydraulic cylinder and was impressed by how well they worked without marring the hex nut bit)

I finally used my 24” one on the weekend, it’s amazing how well it grips compared to stilsons. Its a Million times better. It’s the extra lever action that does it. The only slight issue I found is it was so powerful it could crush thin wall pipe/connectors

Consider making some U-shaped soft jaws with thin magnets glued to the underside. Steel , aluminium, brass, copper.

I had, but decided I'm would almost certainly lose them.

From fresh they need knocking of they ruin pipe.

Another vote for Swedish. They are really common in Denmark and Scandi countries. You dont really see swan necks or Stilson there.

Rigid do a really nice big shifter , smooth jaws and low ish profile ,,, mighty on steam fittings.

they are handy to use as a base when riveting pedal bike chains back together , after splitting them with an old obo nail..... ah the days when I couldnt find a split link .


Or an engine come to think about it.

and those horrid bar bell like universal bike spanners ,,, oh I didnt like them
