That's a different builder. The bikes in the original post are made by Tom of Demon, the youtube clip is Tom Donhue. Can't understand how on earth you got those two mixed up.

Tom Donhue is a great guy, hes done some really interesting stuff, his speed record vid is worth watching too

He says in the vid he uses TIG brazing for the expedition bikes to keep the costs down. One assumes the joints are more robust and less cosmetic.

id say the opposite o/a not as localised as tig he is probably using a gas fluxer unit
which flame wets with flux
