Amazon have the 6.5" Eclipse E241 for £5 at the moment.
Bit small for M14 though, just in case any one is considering it.

Thanks @Agroshield. I had a feeling that it may have been 18tpi, but just wanted someone to confirm.

i have loads and its the one i use most have a small one as well for the ba and small unf tapsI ordered one. It arrived today. Came in one of those nice telescoping square tubes. Couple of dollops of machine oil on it to show it's genuine
Not used it, but it looks tidy.

I presume your "smilie" was to put the brakes on escalation to which i will take and smile, So did you also not see my "laughing smilie" and take it in the same context?.
Yes of course I saw your smilie. I thought my reply was in the same vein. I'm sorry it didn't come across that way.I presume your "smilie" was to put the brakes on escalation to which i will take and smile, So did you also not see my "laughing smilie" and take it in the same context?.
This is my all time favourite. Hard to come by
Next question: can I retap this M14 hole with my 9/16" tap?
Easier to replace the stud. What tool post is it? I may have a spare stud. M14 x 1.5 or x2?to tap my bit of ali, but the chinesium toolpost that i'm trying to fit to my myford doesn't want to screw in nicely. I *assumed* that it was a metric thread. After all, what backwards nation uses imperial?
