remove load
If the compressor is belt drive, try removing the belt and running it. Atleast if it runs then you will know that the motor is ok under "noload" and will allow you to progress with the fault finding. Don't forget it's very cold at this time of year so oil in pump will be thicker and cylinders being very cold will be tighter. If motor runs ok then try disconnecting pump to tank so pump is not under much load, and go from there (may be ok once warmed up by running under no load) Hope this helps MG
