I can see me diming the streets lights evey time I pull the trigger. Thats a thought, what amps do street lights run off? some thick cable going into those lights. There's one right up againest my wall

Depends on the age and type, SON, SOX or HMI roughly 1amp though. However you have to remember that the cable is armoured and usually feeds about 20 fixtures.

Point taken. But you have kinda missed the point. If I was to buy 4 dispisables at once, I might as well buy a bottle off of Steve Adams. The one advantage of the Machine Mart bottles is that I could do an afternoon's welding as and when for under twenty quid. Which is what I'm doing at the moment, being a skint stoodent...

By the way, weldequip, you do refillables, don't you? Give us the details and I'll stick 'em in the spreadsheet.

Just to clarify, we don't send cylinders via courier.

Don't get me wrong, It could work well for party helium hire but not for welding gases. IMO If you run out on a Friday then its going to be at least Tuesday until you get to wait in all day for a delivery (so you can return your empty) Also refills would work out v.expensive with the delivery/collection charge added.
