It's a risky hobby to start. You first get a lathe, then mill, then tool cutter grinder then another lathe but forget to get rid of the first one!
Then there's the tooling:
Rotary table
Indexing head
Clamps
Boring head
End mills
Dovetail mills
Indexable carbide mills
Fly cutter
Face cutter
Slitting saw
Harbours
Machine vice
Angle plates
Involute gear cutters ect ect
And if your machine is also horizontal you end up buying loads of cutters for that too.
And then there is tooling for lathe. ...
