Only trouble would be 'weather helm' - the kite pulling you sideways.
Though, that could be used to your advantage. It is, afterall, how windsurfers steer.
The key would be to put the rider in exactly the right place, leaning forward would cause you to 'round up' -steer to windward, leaning back would cause you to 'bear off' - steer downwind.
It'd be a novel solution if it worked
