This is one I made a few years ago when I ran a Landrover. With 2 axles, 2 swivels and 3 gearboxes it paid for itself the first time I used it. It works on compressed air (about 5 psi) and with the gate valve at the nozzle I can control it from under the vehicle.

exactly like mine for ep 90 mine was taller and had wheels for truck gearboxes but heyho worked the same I used a 2" bsp barrel nipple and end cap at the top to fill oil through on mine, would hold 25 ltrs then fill with air and a stand pipe up the inside.

I imagine you get through a lot of fluids in your line of work.
I was killing time in Regents park before a hospital appointment watching a couple of guys with a Unimog (or similar) with a chipper on the back.
They had a well-rehearsed practice of moving a upturned road sign as an oil catch pan each time the vehicle advanced forward, to stop oil dripping on the path.
That type of vehicle must take a lot of abuse and ongoing maintenance.

Great thread, will look through that later, i am going to show my complete lack of knowledge here but looking at your pictures has just reminded me. I know a guy if he hasn't retired who does balancing.
One of his customers use to bring him lots of those long spinney shafts with the moving lumps on that cut grass and stuff.
They had a contract with the waterboard for ground maintaining and every now and then they would hit a raised valve cover and they would try and shake themselves to bits.

I made a filler out of a fire extinguisher. The handle/valve obviously comes with it and is idiot proof, impossible to leave on.

A piece of decent pipe and a valve for the airline and it's been brilliant, what a difference with gear oil. 150 psi doesn't half get it done quick.

Little tip - bend your pipe a bit more so it's a bit hooked, then it will naturally hold itself in position for about 95% of filler plugs.

That explains why you've always got a picture of some useful box of bits or special tool

There's a lot of kit to keep on top of there.

Great for you but it's pretty serious(dare I say a shame) when you need a artic to remove trees in front of a house.

He didn't bend it, it's the one that was originally screwed into the top of the pump so it would be difficult to bend it further and not ruin it.

Ah, in that case make one from a piece of 10mm od copper pipe.

Dont do much domestic work, its mainly commercial and forestry. But when we do I can bend the truck/trailer into 99% of places
