What’s it actually for most air tools need 90psi that thing kicks out at115 and won’t start again till down to 70 by which time your tools running half speed. Will blow up car tyres etc. fine.

The reasoning above and the noise level, persuaded me to up the budget. Even my little 3/8 Rattle gun needs 90 psi.
So imo you need 150 psi cut out and a restart at circa 90 psi. Was told its not good to run it under 90 psi - don’t actually understand whats bad for it??
Luckily a friend has one of the direct drive ones ... apparently on paper a few more CFM than mine, but the noise level is off the chart compared with mine. Very glad I saw that before going for belt drive.
