You're displaying an attitude just as prejudiced the drivers you are criticising.
The fact that you get blocked so often says a lot because I do pretty-much ALL of my riding in very heavy traffic when I'm using my bike for work, including at least 20 miles of filtering a day and I could probably count the number of times I've been purposely blocked whilst filtering in the last ten years on both hands.
If riders planned ahead instead of mindlessly charging through expecting to part the waves like Moses they'd get a lot further a lot quicker and with a larger factor of safety.
I have a chip on my shoulder because you lot want to blame car drivers for nocking you all off? 85% of bike accidents are because cars you say, but do bikes make up 15% of the road traffic? Otherwise that stat sounds about right? Highly unlikley that a bikes going to nock another bike off if theres that many less out there.
Its proven smaller objects seem further away so thats going to affect you every time.
I still have trouble believing all the bikes werent speeding( not always more than the speed limit but more the what the majority of cars are doing in that zone) when being nocked off, I'll look out for how many bikes I see today and see how there speed compares to the speed of the cars and then see how it makes the decision harder for the driver as they have a pin prick in the mirror they pull out and theres a bike on the floor.
Im not saying all car drivers are perfect either, far from infact most id be dubious if they even had a license but pointing the blame in 1 particular direction isnt fair and nor should I be quiet and have to agree?

I must first apologize for getting angry. I after all am a biker therefore deserve all the derision and injury because I choose to use two wheels and not four. I wear black leathers, boots and a safety helmet, I must be a violent person just waiting for an honest car driver to pick on.

As usual a non biker is trying to access bike speeds. As bikes can accelerate a lot quicker than any car it always appears that bikers are going quicker that a car. Then you would never speed would you? You would never think of sitting in the outside lane of a clear motorway at 60mph. It would be interesting to see what speeds you do compared to the prescribed speed limit.
I was knocked off at 35mph in a 60 zone by a trained driver, a 'Class A' police driver. He looked me in the eye and still pulled out. But I deserve to be left in constant pain having to live on painkillers because I am only a biker and as everyone knows we are a lower life form.
For true impartial details of speeding on bikes or in cars start reading articles produced by the TRL (transport research laboratory). Then you will find that all the drivel pushed out by the scamera partnerships is wrong. Less than 4% (i think the last figure was 3.7%) of accidents have a direct link to speed.
Don't get me wrong there are plenty of stupid bikers out there but there are a lot more careless drivers.
George, the nick name goes back many years and is something I use on line and its a very long story. I cant make a connection between Dune and riding a bike or driving a car, can you enlighten me?
You lumped all bikers together with your statement, I quoted you directly so how can I ignore what you have said? I just did what you did to show the futility of the sentence. Bikers are not all the same, as car drivers aren't all the same. You made a sweeping statement saying that all bikers that get knocked off (please note the spelling of knocked) must have been speeding. Even the latest police stats show that over 90% of accidents including bikes are under the speed limit. For you to make such a sweeping statement is just ridiculous.
I like you enjoy racing, but on two wheels, well I did until my life changing accident all because of someone not doing what they should do and erring on the side of caution when exiting a junction. Bikers dont have the luxury of not looking where they are going as if you do that you come off. Your bike goes where you look.
Of course you said that I must have been speeding when this accident happened. Not so, please do not clump all people together.
