Looks like you are correct Olek. Oerlikon appears to have been bought by Lincoln in April this year, by aquisition of Air Liquide Welding.
ESAB generally make great consumables, Lincoln and oerlikon also have a fine range. I tend to use a lot of Esab consumables as I get a good discount on them at my LWS.
I don’t tend to use ESAB machines, I like lorch stuff.
OK 48.00s a good quality rods and I’ve used them on lots of big stuff with no issues. They need to be fresh out of the vac pac or baked though.
AWS classifications are a general guideline to classifying an electrode. It’s not black and white I’m afraid.
7018 and 7018-1 are different things.
7016 Spezials and 7016-1 are completely different consumables.
