Go on, what are they ? For cleaning the nozzle ?

I found I melted the flanges, caused by blow backs.

Those nozzle cleaners are only for acetylene cutting and welding torches (not carburettor jet cleaners as one ebay seller claimed). Propane tips you swap out when they are spent.

Forgot he was using propane, my bad

I have use them for cleaning crud out of all sorts but I must admit carb jets is a new one!!

A torch just with a screw valve sounds hard work. Must be tedious if you just want to burn off a bolt, or blow a few holes through something.

I see those here too for the AGA X11 series, with valves instead of levers. Never understood why.

If you're lighting a propane torch get the fuel lit and touch the tip onto the metal at an angle before adding the oxygen. This will stop the flame from blowing out.

You can avoid it by turning the fuel on at a low level then adding oxygen also at a low level but then you risk bowing it out when you add fuel again. If you're out on site you don't want to be messing around getting your sparker out of your pocket again so just whack the propane on, touch the tip, add oxy then set your flame by turning the gases down instead of up. Takes moments.

what dick would use them for cleaning jets out on carbs there a bloody file

I’ve been questioned by so many people for lighting up like that!

I do light the torch like that .
But happened also to light up with little bit oxygen ,it sometimes helps someothers not.
