why do u not wet sand the primer?
you can , its been done for years
dry is the better choice as theres no chance the primer will soak up moisture

Sounds like your using cheap paper ??? Use freecut and its should be much better
I use what I can get over here, the market's not developed enough to be choosy about these sorts of supplies.
Part of the issue is that I'm rubbing down some quite serious orange peel from a spattered first coat, so i'll take off the peaks with 320 and then move down to 600 and see how it goes. It can't make the current coat much worse.
.be aware da pad grits will be roughly half whats been quoted for wet sanding ...i.e 800wet = 400 dry
Hi Steveo,
Please could you clarify this for me before I go buying DA pads.
Can I use a DA wet?
If I am recommended to DA something with 240 dry - is that the same as 240 dry hand sanding?
Bit confused!
Because primer takes in moisture mate.
Does this mean you need to whack the top coat on in the same day or can I leave it a week?
I have sanded down a panel with P600 and some areas were back to metal (with a DA). I have etch primed these areas now. Do I need to W&D P600 the etched areas or should I use a different grade?
Secondly, same question for plastic primer - do I need to sand it?
