OK chaps and chapettes, here goes. Various pics:- boat being lifted; boat in the air; boat afloat; the band and drunken partygoers; boat, dog and me. Wahey.
Took her for a wee trip round the harbour today and discovered an unfortunate fuel starvation problem which needs sorted. Bugger.
That's one weird looking beastie in the last pic Si, nice dog though! Hope you saved some of those brass screws to plug any pin-holes?? Joking apart, she's a fine looking vessel mate, good work!
Oh aye, sorry, forgot to say. Drainetta did the naming bit, broke a bottle of Cava (cheapskates), over the bow. She's named the "Trinity Belle", as she was built overlooked by an area called Trinity, and she's beautiful, eh?
Sure is a fine ship Si. I was walking along the River Thames towpath today eying up all the wide beams like yours all very nice but I think I like your paint job the most the blue and black is real jobley to look at. Some of them looked liked a real home from home still cant get her with the sunglasses to even think about living on one though has been a life long ambition of mine I can still live the dream though. Thanks Si
It looks dead good mate, you must be well chuffed - and quite rightly too. Nice one! Looks like you made a day of it. - complete with ****** women-a-plenty?!
I like that. Drainetta says she'd rather be called that than drainetta. She thinks "her with the sunglasses" is more, er, nicer...
Thanks BSpark, It's good to know dreams don't have to stay that way... Also, I like the colour scheme too. Took an awfy lot of pondering that did. The light blue is the same as the undercoat, cos I liked the look. So I gave up on whatever colour i'd bought and had to find a light blue topcoat. I HATE choosing paint colours, but for once in me life, got it right!
Cheers Paul, cheers all. It was a good wee party. It's funny though, it felt like i'd had my boat taken over by a bunch of swaying **** heads, before i'd even had a chance to get to know her properly.
But they all went home, and me and the big girl had a nice heart to heart, as I put on fenders and mooring lines, and put her to bed for the night....
Ya' Si Clodagh my other half was from Dublin before us meeting on a US Airbase in Turkey it's been a long standing joke about the sunglasses. I don't think we have one photo in the album with out her wearing them somewhere on the head and she never go's anywhere without them even when we visit the inbreds sorry inlaw's back in Ireland just got to laugh. She likes the boat by the way and say's looks like some good room to sunbathe on the top deck "maybe some hope yet"
