VFDs - Nixie Tubes - Dixie Cups!

Nixie tubes - fantastic! I used to own a Hewlett Packard frequency counter that ran 7 Nixies: it could count to one whole MegaHertz. I bought it for a pound from a ham radio rally in 1984 and had to test every bloody transistor, 17 of them on each of the driver boards. Needless to say I started from the wrong end and it was the third from last transistor that was faulty

Got my mill back up and running this afternoon.

Hopefully I can crack on with a number of projects including getting Gary's replacement part finished of soon.

All done with the new part for Gary.
Only had a thin slitting saw so the head slot is not as big as the old part which I presume has a slot to accommodate a coin.



@mgarym i'll pop these back in the post to you tomorrow.

Wasn't happy with the slot made with the slitting saw so went back today with a 3mm endmill and sorted it out.
