@D.wilson94 this a MOT failure job?
Easy work done with your simple clarke welders, why a rebel? My job when i get home from work is the jacking points on my Vivaro. MOT is due, and I've been needing an excuse to buy a ESAB Rebel for last while.
Then once that's done, have a sill repair to do in my VR6 Corrado, so thats more than enough justification to buy some welding equipment for the garage.
Try a Mk4/5If your name is Lucky McLuckypants then couple of hours a side. If not swap hours with weeks!
Only one thing rusts worse than a transit.....a connect!

vans are just nightmare jobs
If any of mine need a patch it will be for an mot and that will be the last time they get welded, next stop is the scrapyard. Unless its something special motors are way to cheap these days to be throwing money at chasing tinworm about .
Bob
If only some would put that same logic into maintenance and servicing schedules.Your not wrong, most of vans a scrappy yesterday were newer than mine. To be fair they were ran into ground like you say, but it makes sense to get rid and move on for business users. Time off the road is earnings lost
