…..don’t fear the flash
Honestly if you ask 5 different people you’ll get 8 different answers. At the end of the day it depends a lot on the time/resources at your disposal. You pays yer money etc.etc… blasting, acid dipping, electrolysis, wire brushing, bristle blasting all have their pros and cons. None of them are without their failings. You’ve, thus far, gone the power tool route of surface preparation coupled with phosphoric acid rust treatment (for the rust that survived your prep). The flash ‘rust’ that remains will aid adhesion to any subsequent coatings.
