Yes, I applied it thickly and covered it, honestly I probably didn't leave it long enough, but it kept 'drying' around the edges leaving really stuck on stuff, cant really remember but think I left it all day and kept giving it a stir round every few hours. Then when washed off it had cleaned the flat was bits, but was still in the pitted areas. Guess that's when I should have reapplied.
