had mine from new 52 years. paid 115 quid for it direct from pickhill . never been outside and has leads 10 meters long

I have one under the bench in all my workshops just like the old maintenance shops

I have a little Oxford 110A under mine....

I got one 3 yrs ago for £65 untested; the rubber mains lead had melted (from Old-Age) but once I replaced that it worked fine.
The + & - leads are 5 meters long each... at £8per metre there's £80 value right there...
But I've not used it yet, apart from practice/testing.
And Even on a trolley it's not easy to move, and seems always in the way.

It's a 2 man lift or asking for a hernia / bruised hands / broken back...

My Aldi £60 jobbie gets used first, the Pickhill is my backup.

Recently picked up an Lidl inverter mig for £70 too, weighs about 5kg, also much nicer to use than my 50kg transformer mig

£60 to 70 seems like an affordable and easy-to-justify price-point

Looks the same as the welders we used in college in the late 70s. Great bits of kit with a very smooth arc.
