Yep, I had a twin carb non turbo 900, awesome car, loved it, was given it by an old lady, who had decided to stop driving.Anyone on here had or driven a Saab 900?
The 16 arrived’67/8 the a60 ran until’71.A60's surely long gone by the time this came along?
I wrecked one of these in a demolition derby once - the gearbox (column change) by doing forward- reverse-forward repeatedly, first first, then second, then reverse went....
Well past it's sell by date then...The 16 arrived’67/8 the a60 ran until’71.
Basicly a big R4. Similar floorplan/chassis.Renault 16s weren't immune from rust, with a double skin floor.
No, I don't think the LWB are any wider. Some H vans in Mayenne, from last summer’s trip, the lwb looks wider aswell, job to remember now,I like them, someone near Anglesey regularly installs pinto fords in them.View attachment 486006View attachment 486007
Shame they don't put a decent engine into them.someone near Anglesey regularly installs pinto fords in them.
Still have my 1995 9000 Aero - 194,000 miles and use it daily........Yep, I had a twin carb non turbo 900, awesome car, loved it, was given it by an old lady, who had decided to stop driving.
She wouldn't accept money, the petrol tank was nearly full.
She thanked me for taking it away and not having to pay someone to scrap it, drove it for a year, went on a jaunt from Devon to Dover then Calais, to Paris and back.

Not many can but i also run a 2005 9-5 Aero wagon which is on 248,00 miles and is a nice car to drive though with the 9-5 you had to pick the right year before the bean counters took over....sorry, gratuitous Saab pictures....Had a 99, a 900 (classic) and a 9-3 wagon my favourite cars apart from any Bristol. Have now moved onto a Honda good but just not a SAAB. I can never forgive GM for destroying the SAAB company I will never buy any of their products.
