We used Nexas mig wire for quite a while; started having loads of problems with it, 2-3 times per spool the wire would snag. The stuff was full of knots. Loads of burnback problems. Welding supplier swapped it (Bear in mind we buy it by the pallet full); was still rubbish.
Bought a pallet of Lincoln Ultra (Well,thats what it says on the box) and maybe half way through it and not one snag.
I would never buy Nexus again. There was a CE marking issue as well, which i think is now sorted.

I bought two 5Kg lots of Nexus 6013s, 2.5mm and 3.2mm about three years ago.

The 2.5mm weren't great, inconsistent and some had a thing like arc blow, maybe because the flux wasn't even. They weren't unusable, but they weren't nice either. They were cheap at £10 for 5kg at the local welding supplier.

The 3.2mm were much better.

There was an obvious difference between the fluxes. The flux on the 2.5mm was mottled.

I wouldn't buy Nexus rods again, not even the 3.2mm. You can get better rods for not much more elsewhere.

I do agree I like using Lincoln murex and other expensive rods but for just practice I would rather use these because when it comes to cheap nasty rods these are good for there use but on the other hand I do get some issues with restarts and flux removel
