Plasma water table users.

Well I had some Aluminium to order for a job so thought what the heck I might as well so just ordered a load of RHS,SHS and a 3m x 1.5mm sheet of 4mm.
Looks like my build will go ahead

Another question for people with plasma tables.
My current table is far too high but it was due to the way it was going to be initially built as it was going to tilt up when not in use to give more room.
On the new build I am wanting it much lower for ease of loading and also for reaching over the bed. I was planning on having the top of the table at 700mm but was wondering what others are.

Mr @Hood , not sure whether this is a good idea or not but amongst the bits I have gathered for my cnc plasma table build are two 4`long 250kg capacity 150% extending drawer runners. The intention was to be able to pull out the whole water tray on the runners to rescue small bits that fall through and for cleaning purposes.

Don't see why it wouldn't work as long as the runners are up to carrying the weight and moving smoothly with the weight.
For a 3m x 1.5m water tray with 50mm depth of water the weight in water alone would be getting on for 225Kg so adding the weight of the metal for tray and cutting bars it would likely be way over 250Kg but if that is the capacity for each rail then it would likely be fine.

It is not something I could do as there is no room in the container.

If you were able to get some more, then I would think about zoning the table, maybe into 2. I have a 3m x 1.5m bed, but find a lot of the time i am cutting at one end of it. If its into 2 sections , then its going to be easier to move as well.

Coincidentally, this just appeared on YouTube . He uses Borax in the water, which I discovered is banned in the UK.

You sure? seems to be plenty available on eBay etc unless it is not exactly the same.

Though you are likely correct and it will soon be regretted
