Please can someone help me wire this single phase 2hp Techtop motor?

As a perhaps funny aside, for you guys at least, once we got the motor running, I went ahead an put the wheel on. Not knowing that the *!$%&*ing shroud that goes over it wont fit post fit-up. This is me trying smash the bugger off! Its so tight on there its taken ages!

That earth wire is destined to fall off. Use a ring tongue tag crimped on properly

If you've not got a suitable crimp then expose enough of the wire to twist a proper loop around the screw.

No, the earth should be connected to the larger screw next to where it is.
The brown should be connected to Z1.

The way it is connected in this picture it will spin, but may not perform correctly and may lead to early failure of the motor or start capacitor.

And twist it clockwise. The screw pulls it in rather than spits it out then.

I agree with the earth, but the brown is correct according to the wiring diagram…

I think it wouldn’t work if you connected it to z1 as you’d be bypassing some windings…

Yep, you're quite right, I misread the diagram!
